Danbury Wine Circle

Danbury Wine Circle was established in 1964 and the original aim of the Society was to provide a social club for local individuals interested in the production of home made wine, either from kits or fruits harvested from the garden or hedgerows.  There were annual competitions and talks on wine and associated subjects.

Over the years interest in home made wine production has waned with the wide availability of cheaper commercial wines.  However Danbury Wine Circle has continued to flourish by adapting to focus on the tasting of commercial wines and other activities.
